Februdairy – over and out!

Friday, 28 February, 2020

Tomorrow (29 February) is the final day of Februdairy 2020 and what a success it has been. Throughout the month the Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) shared content on its social media platforms highlighting the health benefits of drinking milk and how dairy production benefits the environment, not to mention the vast extent of the care and effort that goes into producing milk. Consumers don’t have to worry about how local milk is produced or what it contains because our farmers uphold world-leading production standards.

To give consumers a real taster of what is involved in milk production, five of our members, Jessica Pollock, Andrew and Margaret Little, John Oliver and David Irwin, took to social media to showcase what a day in the life of a dairy farmer is like. From rising long before the sun to begin milking, feeding their livestock, vet visits, looking after the environment to minding calves, every day is a busy one for our dairy farmers who are dedicated and passionate about producing quality milk that families all across the country can enjoy.

We wold like to thank everyone who supported Februdairy by liking, sharing and commenting on our content. Plans are already underway for next year’s event as we hope to build on the success of 2020.
